Disposal

Large loads: loads larger than 5 cubic yards are weighed and charged by the ton... $30.40/ton (minimum charge $46.50)

Small loads: loads 5 cubic yards or smaller are charged by volume... $9.30/cu yard (minimum charge $13.00)

  • 1 cubic yard: $13
  • 2 cubic yards: $18.60
  • 3 cubic yards: $27.90
  • 4 cubic yards: $37.20
  • 5 cubic yards: $46.50

To find cubic yards: length x width x height divided by 27

Appliances

  • Refrigerators/freezers and air conditioners are NOT accepted
  • Washers, dryers, dishwashers, hot water heaters, stoves & ovens are accepted: $15 each

We receive the following items at no charge to our customers:

  • Newspaper: flattened, no sacks or strings
  • Tin cans: cleaned, labels & ends removed, flattened
  • Motor oil: in sealed containers, 2 gallons or smaller
  • Plastics: milk jugs only, discard lid, rinse, flatten
  • Glass bottles & jars: separate by color (NO window glass, pyrex, lenses, porcelain, crystal, light bulbs)
  • High grade paper: see office for details
  • Aluminum: see separate cans from foil
  • Scrap metal: iron, steel, sheet metal, etc.
  • Magazines: slick, shiny coated paper only

Riverbend supports recycling as a means to further waste reduction and preserve our natural resources.

Landfill Rules

  • Children & pets must remain in vehicles at all times.
  • All parties entering the landfill must have prior authorization. Stop at the entrance gate to inform gate attendant of your business.
  • All loads must be properly covered.
  • Do not exceed 25 mph on landfill roads.
  • All acceptable items must be placed in the designated areas or containers.
  • No smoking or loitering allowed on the landfill site.
  • Dumping of hot ashes or burning materials is prohibited.
  • Salvaging of material from landfill or recycling center is prohibited.

Prohibited materials: hazardous waste, any liquids, closed containers or barrels, large dead animals.

Recycling

  • Auto/pickup tires without rim: $6 each
    • With rim: $8 each
  • Motorcycle tires without rim: $3 each
    • With rim: $5 each
  • Semi-truck tire without rim: $17 each
    • With rim: $25 each

    • *Any tires put into the landfill will be $10 each with or without rim (this is in addition to the regular fee).
